Young Cancer Patient Steeler For A Day

SOUTH SIDE (KDKA) ― The Steelers practiced on the South Side and had a special player on the field with them.

Heather Miller is fighting cancer, but for a few hours on Wednesday, she forgot about the doctors and hospitals and spent time with her favorite team.

"Football has been a huge part of our family for a long time – especially the Steelers," Wendy Miller, Heather's mom, said.

Heather sounded the siren to officially start practice and then hung out on the sidelines with Hines Ward.

Part of her wish was to have lunch with Casey Hampton.

"This is an awesome experience for all of us and Heather's doing a real good job," Donald Miller, Heather's father, said.
