Steeler Brett Keisel Helps 'Move' Students
Seventh graders at Arsenal Middle School in Lawrenceville spent the morning working side by side with one of their favorite Steelers, defensive end Brett Keisel.
With the help of the American Heart Association, NFL players like Keisel and the State Department of Education, 7th graders are the first to enroll in the "What Moves U" curriculum.
"To help them get moving that's what this is all about," said Keisel. "Get moving, get up and get moving don't sit around, playing your Playstation and things like that. Get up, get moving, get active, get your friends active with you. Be a healthy person."
The students are gaining a wealth of knowledge about their health through a number of academic disciplines like math.
Students chart their progress, all in an effort to stay fit for life.
A primary goal of this program is to give students an arsenal of information so when they're outside of school they'll have all of the information needed to help them combat childhood obesity.
