Roethlisberger Talks Football Camp, Off-Season

MARS (KDKA) ― Ben Roethlisberger has been having a lot of fun this week with the children at his football camp.

Ben says the campers never fail to amaze him.

"Sometimes the littlest smallest kid might be the most athletic, the best football player but you know it's so much fun to see the smile on the face when they come out here and have fun and catch a pass," he said.

While he's enjoying the kids in his camp, Ben is also looking forward to about a month away from football.

"I'm leaving here and going to play in Mario's golf tournament and then I'm going to one of my teammate's weddings and then I'm going to go down to Georgia and relax for a week," he said.

Then it's off to Lake Tahoe for the American Celebrity Golf Tournament for the fifth year in a row before heading to Latrobe to begin the effort to repeat the glory of Tampa.

"You know what - I don't put that pressure on myself it would be great to do it, if we do it it'd be awesome, but for me and for us it's about winning one game and those things happen if they happen," Ben said. "So it would be neat but we'll see."

In his campers, Ben can easily see the wide-eyed excitement for the game – a motivation he too must find.

"Whether it's people saying I can't do it or I'm not an elite quarterback, whatever it is, for me I've always said I want to win one more than anybody else," he says, "so I've got a couple more to get and I'd like to just keep trying to be the best that I can be."
