Pittsburgh's boys of summer took some time out of their holiday season to host a special party for some local children this weekend.
The Pittsburgh Pirates hosted kids from the Miracle League of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
The party at PNC Park included a chance for the kids to take some swings in the batting cages and they even got their own jerseys and Pirates-themed Santa hats.
"At the end of the day, it just gives these families another opportunity to come out into a user-friendly environment like this and enjoy life in general but the holidays in more specific," said Mike Sherry, the Miracle League President.
In addition to the Pirate Parrot and Pierogies, Pirates' pitcher Ross Ohlendorf was also on hand to celebrate with the kids.
The Pirates host the party every holiday season.
