Pirates Visit White House Today

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers will go to the White House tomorrow to meet President Obama.

But they aren't the only local team to visit 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue -- the Pirates stopped by today.

After beating the Washington Nationals in extra innings last night, the Pittsburgh Pirates got a private tour of the White House this morning.

President Barack Obama has hosted a number of baseball teams so far including the New York Yankees.

Pirates' manager John Russell skipped the tour saying he'd rather visit when he has a World Series ring on his finger.

The Pirates, who are on a four-game winning streak, play the Nationals again tonight at 7:05.
