Pirates Trade Morgan, Burnett To Nationals

Eric Hinske Traded To Yankees

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The Pirates have traded outfielder Nyjer Morgan and left-handed pitcher Sean Burnett to the Washington Nationals.

In return, they acquired outfielder Lastings Milledge and right-handed pitcher Joel Hanrahan.

"In both Hanrahan and Milledge we have acquired players with the upside to be solid to above average major league players," Pirates General Manager Neal Huntington said in a statement.

The Pirates also traded outfielder Eric Hinske to the Yankees for Eric Fryer and Casey Erickson.

Garrett Jones was recalled to replace Hinske on the roster.
