The Pittsburgh Penguins got some good news and some bad news on Saturday.
The good news is that
Evgeni Malkin will return to the lineup tonight against the Boston Bruins after missing the last seven games with a shoulder strain.
At the morning skate Saturday, Malkin was on a line with Sidney Crosby and Ruslan Fedotenko.
The second line consisted of Chris Bourque, Jordan Staal and Bill Guerin.
Chris Kunitz took the day off for what was initially called a "maintenance day," but after practice the team announced the bad news.
Kunitz will miss the next two weeks with a lower-body injury.
Earlier on Saturday, the team recalled forward Mark Letestu from Wilkes-Barre Scranton after sending Chris Conner back down Friday.
Letestu has three goals and five assists with the Baby Pens this season.
Kunitz joins Sergei Gonchar (broken wrist), Max Talbot (shoulder surgery), Tyler Kennedy (undisclosed), Brooks Orpik (lower-body) and Kris Letang (shoulder contusion) on the injured Pens list.
The Penguins take on the Boston Bruins at 7:30 p.m. at Mellon Arena Saturday night.
