Malkin's Mom's Borscht Recipe Is Big Hit

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Pens fans can get a cup of Evgeni Malkin's mom's lucky borscht soup.

The 17th Street Café on the Southside is making authentic borscht, which is a sour soup made from beets.

Malkin's mom shared her son's favorite meal with the Pittsburgh Post- Gazette last week.

And ever since, it's been the hottest recipe in town.

The restaurant will serve the dish throughout the playoffs.
