Pens Playoff Tickets Sold Out In Minutes

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Just as expected, tickets for Round 2 of the Penguins playoff run were bought up quickly by excited fans.

Team officials say about 2,000 tickets went on sale this morning from anywhere from $75 to around $220.

The tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. Once again, the Penguins used a lottery system for the ticket selling process. 

For the first round of the playoffs, Pens' fans snatched up the tickets in just 11 minutes.

This time around, team officials say they tickets were gone within 10 minutes.

In the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Pens swept the Ottawa Senators in four games. It has not yet been determined who the Penguins will play in Round 2.
