Penguins Merchandise Flying Off Shelves

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― While the parade downtown was the main attraction on Monday, the rush also continued throughout Pittsburgh for championship gear.

"I saw this Pens shirt in the window. [I'm] looking for everything championship-related that I can get," said Pens fan Rawah Bunni.

"There [are] these really cool looking black and yellow dreadlocks that I may buy. And we're really excited to be down here," said Pens fan Ginger Kuttesch.

Both ladies, who descrribe themselves as diehard fans, decided to get their Pens paraphernalia at Mike Feinberg's.

"Saturday, when we opened the doors, they were flying in; we had championship t-shirts. We couldn't keep them in stock," says owner Marcia Hellman.

She says she has doubled her sales of hockey merchandise since the Pens Cup run.

Meanwhile, down the street, Yinserz owner Jim Coen has always had a steady flow of customers and these days they are focusing on one thing.

"People are just buying everything, world championship merchandise, Stanley Cup t-shirts," said Coen.

With all the gear you can't help but show team spirit.

"All throughout the year with the wins and losses, just to show them that we love them and how appreciative we are to live in the city," added Kuttesch.
