Crosby's 3 Goals Push Pens Past Sabres, 5-4

Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby's three-goal second period performance led the team to a 5-4 win over the Buffalo Sabres Monday night at Mellon Arena.
Crosby also scored his third hat trick of the season and the fifth of his career.
The rally began for the Pens in the second period. Down by two goals, Crosby scored on the power play on assists from Alex Goligoski and Evgeni Malkin.
Less than four minutes later, Jordan Staal tied it, 3-3. At 17:30 Crosby scored his second goal and just over a minute later scored his third and final goal of the night.
The Pens fought to preserve their lead after Jason Pominville's power play goal three minutes into the third.
Following after several key saves by Marc-Andre Fleury in the final seconds, the Pens walked away with back-to-back wins at the Igloo after beating the Detroit Red Wings Sunday.
Fleury made 30 saves in a game in which neither Olympic goaltender - he is one of three goalies picked by Canada - had a strong game.
Pittsburgh's other goal, by rookie Mark Letestu 47 seconds in, was the first of his NHL career.
Later in the first, Derek Roy and Thomas Vanek scored 48 seconds apart to give Buffalo the lead. Tim Kennedy made it 3-1 at 7:32 of the second off tic-tac-toe passes by Michael Grier and Clarke MacArthur following Crosby's turnover.
"We were down by two goals and they're a good team, but nobody quit and everybody played hard," Fleury said.
