NEW YORK (AP) ―
The Pittsburgh Penguins are on the verge of another series sweep after Evgeni Malkin scored two power-play goals and had an assist in a 5-3 win over the New York Rangers.
The outcome gives the Pens a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals following a sweep of Ottawa in the first round.

the second period. But Malkin snapped a 3-all tie late in the period before Ryan Malone added an insurance tally with 17:30 left.
Marc-Andre Fleury turned back 36 shots after posting a shutout in Sunday's win.
Martin Straka had a goal and an assist for the Rangers, who went 0-for-5 on the power play while allowing the Penguins to convert two of their three chances with the man advantage.
Rangers netminder Henrik Lundqvist stopped just 12 of 17 shots for the Rangers.
Game 4 is Thursday at Madison Square Garden.
