Game 6 A Must-Win For Pens

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The Penguins battled to stay alive in the Stanley Cup Finals on Monday, and once again, the fate of their season is on the line.

The Pens are facing elimination in Game 6 at Mellon Arena. They are down 3-2 in the best of seven series against the Red Wings.

But despite the pressure, during this morning's skate, the Penguins players appeared to be loose and intent on enjoying the moment.

"Try to have some fun, enjoy it," Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury said. "You know, we won't get that chance many times in our lifetimes so enjoy it and try our best."

Ryan Malone plans to give his team his best even though his face is a mess. He got doctors' clearance to play tonight. He has no structural damage and you can bet he'll stick his nose right in the middle of the action again.

"Knock on wood it could have been a lot worse," Malone said. "There wasn't a fracture - they found so ... that was big. I think, like I said, it could have been a lot worse so I'm definitely thankful."

"It was OK falling asleep last night - it was bit of a long night before so - just another situation, basically the same as last game," Pens Captain Sidney Crosby said. "I mean, and go over with the same preparation and your mindset is the same as far as I'm concerned it is for me.

"I mean we're facing elimination and we're in the same situation we were in Game 5 so just go with everything the same and try to prepare the same way and I would say it's pretty much business as usual," Pens Captain Sidney Crosby said.
