Pens' Fans Full Of Hope As Tonight's Game Nears

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Time is ticking down to faceoff tonight when the Penguins go for a sweep against the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Penguins fever has swept across the Pittsburgh area and tonight's game in Philly is the hot topic around town.

KDKA's Alison Morris caught up with some fans today and most were optimistic.

"Well, I definitely want the win. I want the sweep tonight, and I think it is going to happen," said Pens fan, Joe Dickinson, of Mt. Lebanon. "It is going to be a physical game tonight. They've already shifted their lines and I think it is going to be from the faceoff physical all the way."

"I think Philadelphia had a pretty solid year. But I think the Penguins are doing well," said Pens fan, Harvey Smith, of Monroeville. "They have the right factors going for them, the right chemistry. I'm expecting a win from them tonight."

Another fan said she thinks it's going to be an overtime win for the Pens.

"I think they'll maybe go into overtime and win in overtime, the Pens, because Philly's been losing so much and they're probably really going to try hard to catch up," said Pens fan, Lauren Conti. "They have everything to lose."

The Flyers have said they are changing up two of their lines ahead of the game so the Pens could find themselves in a battle to the very finish.

But even so, some very confident fans were already looking toward the finals, their hopes focused on the Stanley Cup.

"Detroit's pretty tough. It's not going to be a sweep, but I think the Pens in six," said Pens fan, John Cook, of Scott Township.

The Penguins and the Flyers faceoff tonight at 7:38 p.m.
