Penguins' Malkin Up For Hart Trophy Tonight

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The Penguins may not have won the Stanley Cup, but one of their teammates could win a top award tonight.

Pittsburgh Penguin Evgeni Malkin is one of three finalists for the Hart Trophy, which is awarded to the NHL's Most Valuable Player.

The other two finalists are Washington left winger, Alex Ovechkin and Calgary's Jarome Iginla.

Malkin was the number two scorer in the league with 47 goals and 59 assists.

But Ovechkin is reported to be favored to win the Hart Trophy.
