Steelers safety Troy Polamalu will not play when the Steelers take on the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday.
Polamalu has not practiced all week after he suffered another injury to his left knee during the team's 18-12 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Tyrone Carter will start this Sunday as safety.
Defensive end Travis Kirschke, who had been filling for Aaron Smith who suffered a season-ending injury, will miss his third game because of a torn left calf muscle.
Nick Eason will start in his place.
