Steelers Fans, Analysts Predict Win Over Ravens

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― It is expected to be a tough, defensive battle as the Steelers take on the Ravens tonight in Monday Night football.

The Steelers host the undefeated Baltimore Ravens, who boast the number one defense in the NFL.

At number two, the Steelers aren't likely to give away too much either.

The odds makers are predicting a 34 point total and fans are expecting a close game.

"I think it will be a low scoring game and we will win," said Jamie Wandless, of Erie. "It's a big game. I think they are the best team in the division. I'm pretty confident they will win."

With last week's troubling performance against the Philadelphia Eagles that saw Ben Roethlisberger sacked eight times, there's a lot of pressure on the offensive line.

"Well, they will be more prepared," said Stella Stohovic, of the West End. "But it is whether they have the talent. It doesn't matter how much you practice sometimes, or how you move them, it is the talent in general. After losing Faneca, you have to question it."

Even national ESPN Radio analysts Mike and Mike expect a win from the Steelers.

"I will be stunned if the Steelers don't win this game somewhat comfortably tonight," said ESPN's Mike Greenberg. "I've followed Mendenhall and he is going to be really good. If he holds onto the football, I think he will be fine tonight. I'll give you a number… 17 to 6."

"I think it is going to be closer. I'll say 20-17," said ESPN's Mike Golic. "Mendenhall is a truck, but he has to hold onto the football. He is going to get a chance to showcase it tonight. I don't think they'll change the blueprint a whole lot because I don't think they want Roethlisberger in the pocket whipping it around tonight."
