A local football coach accused of keeping recruiting information from students is responding to the allegations.
Neil Gordon has been involved in high school athletics at Penn Hills for the past two decades as head football coach and athletic director.
After his contract was not renewed last month, hundreds of unopened recruiting letters were found in his former office addressed to student-athletes from colleges and universities.
Gordon says there was no sabbotage.
"You know I'm hearing that these allegations are saying that I maliciously and intentionally withheld these letters. Then why wouldn't I throw them away?," he told KDKA.
The Penn Hills School District released a statement saying, "Concerns have been brought to the administration regarding letters received from colleges and universities for student-athletes and we are currently looking into the matter."
As for the current coaching vacancy, Gordon says he plans to apply for his old job.
