St. Louis Blues goaltender Manny Legace has been placed on injured reserve with a mild concussion.
Legace, who took a knee to the head from Anaheim's Ryan Carter in Wednesday night's 4-2 loss, was placed on the injured list Thursday night because of a concussion.
Chris Mason made his 10th start and stopped 24 shots in a 6-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night. Ben Bishop, recalled from Peoria of the AHL to back up Mason, played the third period and gave up two goals 37 seconds apart.
This is Legace's second injury of the season. In October, he strained his left hip flexor and missed several games when he slipped on carpet placed on the ice for then-vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who dropped the ceremonial first puck.
