Ben Roethlisberger grew up idolizing John Elway, No. 7 of the Denver Broncos, so when he got the chance to wear a number, it was going to be No. 7.

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially announced today that Dennis Dixon will start as quarterback against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Steelers made significant changes to their roster today prior to Sunday night's AFC North match-up against Baltimore.
According to the Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger will dress for the game and serve as the No. 3 quarterback, which leaves Dixon to start and newly signed Tyler Palko as his backup.
Those two quarterbacks combined have thrown just one pass in the NFL.
Earlier Saturday, the Steelers announced that they had promoted Palko, who is a Pittsburgh-area native, to their active roster from the practice squad.
The team also released seventh-year wide receiver Shaun McDonald from the roster.
Palko was signed earlier this week to the practice squad and has had only two practices.
The whole sequence of events started in overtime of last week's loss in Kansas City when Roethlisberger took a knee to the head from Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson.
The injury turned out to be his fourth concussion.
Backup quarterback Charlie Batch came into the game and injured his wrist - requiring him to undergo surgery.
When Roethlisberger spoke to the media on Thursday, everything appeared to be normal.
However, after practice, KDKA's Bob Pompeani reports that sources say Roethlisberger had the first of several headaches that prompted the moves.
But that's not the only injury issues the Steelers will have against the Ravens.
Troy Polamalu also will not play as he continues to be bothered by a PCL sprain on his left knee and starting left guard where Chris Kemoeatu will be out with an MCL sprain.
