September 4 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Jill and Esther get into a shouting match over the situation between Cane and Chloe. Chloe gives Cane documentation on her rights as a mother to let him know that he can't take their child away from her. Cane sets down some new ground rules for Chloe that she doesn't like. Kay encourages Esther to talk to Chloe and find out what is really going on. Meanwhile, Jill offers Cane a plan: when the baby is born, write Chloe a large check and get her out of town. Cane asks Jill to stay out of it. Chloe meets with Esther and is clearly ashamed of the fact that Esther is a maid. Lily enters and overhears Chloe call Esther mom and assures her that she's a Chancellor now, which means she doesn't need to be a maid any longer. Chloe shows up at the Chancellor Estate with suitcases, just as Kay and Jill are discussing the situation. Chloe announces to them that she is moving in because Cane is treating her badly.

Meanwhile, Cane and Lily end up in a passionate kiss before she leaves. Victoria has a daydream that Victor has returned to Genoa City but is jolted back to reality by Nicholas. Meanwhile, Heather and Adam are beyond stunned when they see Victor standing over them. Victor immediately retreats from the room. Michael gets an urgent text summoning him to the ranch. Later, Victor is not happy to learn Adam banished Zapato from the ranch. When Michael arrives at the ranch it becomes clear that Victor called for him. Adam is furious that Victor will see Michael and not him. Victor can't believe it when he hears that after Victor's supposed death Adam took over Newman Enterprises and fired Victoria and Neil. Meanwhile, Estella calls Nick to inform him that Victor has returned to the ranch, while Michael calls Neil. Michael informs Victor about all of Adam's power plays and while Victor appears calm, there is still a hint of the true Victor Newman.

When Nick and Victoria arrive at the ranch, Victor won't see them yet. They are stunned but when Neil arrives and Michael ushers him right in to see Victor they notice that Adam is beginning to sweat. In his study, Victor immediately reinstates Neil as the head of Newman Enterprises. Adam is smug when Victor asks to see him next, but Nick and Victoria realize what is going on when Neil explains to them he is headed back to Newman Enterprises. As he enters the study to see Victor, Adam realizes he has serious damage control to do. Victor fires Adam from Newman Enterprises. Victor informs Adam that he wants him off the ranch and out of his life. As Adam rushes out of the house, Victoria and Nick see Victor for the first time.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Stephanie becomes concerned when she receives a troubling phone call from her fugitive sister, Pam. Katie tries her best to justify her pregnancy to Brooke and refuses to be nothing but happy about what may be her last chance at ever having a child. Bridget basks in her romantic day at sea with Nick, oblivious to the true reason he brought her there.

After Owen convinces Donna that she needs to move on with her life, she succumbs to her feelings for him. While Owen and Donna are in the throws of passion, they are unaware that they are being watched by Stephanie.


AS THE WORLD TURNS

Brad has a nightmare about Leo pulling him into the water and wakes screaming. Jack comes over to question him and Brad realizes Katie told. Jack says he'll give him an hour to turn himself in, than he's coming to get him. Brad gets a call from the hospital saying Leo wants to see him. When Brad and Katie arrive, Margo is there and says she needs to get Leo's statement first. Then Brad and Katie go in and Leo says he's sorry for what he did to Liberty and he doesn't remember anything else. Jubilant Brad and Katie go to Jack and Janet and even though Jack is reluctant, all promise to say nothing and let the case be closed. Meanwhile, Dallas tells Margo they found a fingerprint on Leo's phone and the case remains open.

Holden walks in on naked Lily and Mike and leaves. Lily goes after him and insists she was doing nothing wrong and doesn't want him to use it against her. She says she's bringing Mike to the wedding. Holden upset, rides off and finds Carly. He tells her he saw Mike and Lily and kisses her. Carly says she doesn't want him to kiss her because he's jealous of Lily and Holden admits he's never stopped wanting her. He wants Carly to go to the wedding with him, but she refuses. Meanwhile, after hesitating, Mike agrees to go to the wedding as Lily's friend, not her lover.

Liberty finds out that Janet has left Jack. She goes to Jack and pleads with him to get her mother back because he's the best thing that ever happened to her. Jack agrees and goes to Janet, who accepts.

Luke, Noah, Lucinda and Brian gather for an afternoon outing to go mushroom hunting, but Luke doesn't want to chaperone his grandmother. Later, Lucinda is disappointed when she realizes Brian intends to sleep in the tent with the boys. She goes mushroom hunting and gets brambles in her hair. Brian takes them out gently and patiently, treating her in a courtly manner, and Luke and Noah are won over by his kindness. At the end of the day, Noah tells Luke he will be going to Rome for a class and they restate their love and devotion to each other.


GUIDING LIGHT

Jeffrey is stunned by the knowledge that Reva is pregnant. He goes out to find her in the waiting room but she's not there. As Jeffrey looks for Reva he sees Billy, who has come to check on Reva. Reva, meanwhile, has gone to Company for a shot of liquid courage. As Reva starts to pour herself shots of whiskey, Jeffrey comes in and stops her. He takes the glass out of her hand, downs it himself. He then leads Reva out to the lake and tells her that she's pregnant. Reva is in disbelief. They go back to see Dr. Hendrix, who tells Reva and Jeffrey that one of the medications she is taking to prevent cancer reoccurrence has also been used as a fertility drug. Dr. Hendrix also warns them that there are a lot of risks to both Reva and the baby due to her age and her history of breast cancer. Reva would have to stop taking some of her medication, which increases the risk that the cancer could return. Plus, there is an increased risk of birth defects due to Reva's age. Weighing all these facts, plus the fact that Reva is three months along, means that there are important decisions that must be made quickly.

Daisy relates the details of Reva's unexpectedly fun wedding to Grady and tells him that she hopes her family will start to accept him. She leaves to get Grady ice cream. While away, Daisy's cell phone rings and Grady answers to Rafe. Rafe warns that once people realize that Grady tipped them off, Daisy will drop him. When Daisy returns with ice cream, Grady hangs up and says it was a wrong number. Daisy reminisces about how she and her dad shared ice cream when she was little. Grady admits that he didn't have a father. Meanwhile, Buzz finishes a call with Harley, and relays the news to Cassie-Harley has a new job and a new guy in her life and is staying in Greece. Buzz goes to see Daisy and Grady leaves. Buzz tells Daisy to call her mom. Daisy realizes Harley's not coming back. Grady returns and she starts sobbing in his arms. Grady leads Daisy to the garage so she can be away from her family. Grady empathizes-Cyrus has chosen a woman over him the same way Harley has chosen a man over her. As Grady begins to undress Daisy, he tells her they are better off without Cyrus and Harley. Later, Daisy and Grady lie in each other's arms and Daisy says she needs to go and talk to her family in order to deal with how she feels about Harley. Grady darkens at this-he wants to be the only one to help her.

Cassie prepares RJ for his first day of school. She tells him Josh would be there if he could but he's visiting Shayne. Cyrus enters but Cassie coldly cuts him off and makes him leave immediately. Cassie informs Cyrus that whatever friendship they have can't include her son. After hearing the news from Buzz, Cassie reluctantly tells hurt and angry Cyrus that Harley has found a new love and is not coming back. Cyrus storms out of the farmhouse, seemingly never to return. Later, however, Cyrus finds Cassie in her office, takes her by the arms, and kisses her.
