Severe Storms Cause Widespread Damage

Severe storms swept through the area today leaving behind widespread damage. Heavy rains, high winds and even some hail damaged homes and vehicles, knocked down trees and brought down power lines.

Joe Shacreaw sent in this photo of a large tree uprooted in Blairsville on Sunday afternoon. He says the tree was about 30 years old and 40 feet high.
