IRS Set To Mail Economic Stimulus Checks

WASHINGTON (KDKA) ― Taxpayers who did not receive a direct deposit of their 2007 tax return should begin getting their economic stimulus checks as soon as this week.

So far, the U.S. Treasury has sent out 45.4 million total economic stimulus payments totaling $40.8 billion.

Payments began April 28th and will continue through mid-July.

For a single filer, the minimum payment is generally $300 and the maximum payment is $600.

For joint filers, the minimum is generally $600 and the maximum $1,200.

There is also an additional $300 payment for each qualifying child.

The IRS has launched a webpage devoted to when taxpayers will receive their stimulus payments.
