New Recalled Products Include Pillows, Pacifiers
(KDKA)
There are some new recalls out that all consumers should know about including pillows, pacifiers and bicycle chainguards.
Some pillows you won't want to cuddle up with are "Cuddly Comfort Pillows" by Sleep Innovations.
They are on recall because of small metal fragments in the fiber fill. It's the result of a mechanical breakdown during manufacturing. The metal fragments can cause abrasions and cuts.
The recalled pillows were sold only at Costco stores. They were sold in packs of two since February 2008 for about $20. If you have these pillows, you can return them to any Costco store for a full refund.
From dangerous pillow to dangerous pacifiers, more than 100,000 "It's My Binky's Personalized Pacifiers" are recalled because the pacifier button, ring handle and shield with nipple can detach causing infants to choke.
"It's My Binky" pacifiers were sold in blue, white and pink with all kinds of labels, from "Prince Charming" to "My Mom Rocks" to "Born To Shop."
These binkies were sold online, at baby retail stores and Nordstrom's since February 2008 for between $5 and $6. You should immediately take them away from your children.
You can return them to the store where you bought them or get in touch with the company for a replacement pacifier.
Before you take your next bicycle ride, you'll want to make sure you don't own an Amsterdam bike by Electra Bicycle Company. There have been problems with the interior alignment tabs of the chainguard. These tabs can be pushed against the chain causing falls and injuries.
The bikes were sold at authorized Electra Bicycle dealers around the country from January 2007 to June 2008 for between $400 to $850. You should stop riding these bikes until you go to an Electra Bicycle dealer for a free inspection and replacement chainguard part.
