Do Ionic Pet Brushes Really Work?
by Yvonne Zanos
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
Most of us love our pets but necessarily how they smell
and giving your cat or dog a bath can be a real ordeal.
So, KDKA Consumer Editor Yvonne Zanos put one of the most popular pet products, so-called ionic pet brushes, to the test to see if they really work.
We gave the brushes to local pet owner Hedi Krenn to test out on her four dogs and two cats.
"I'm always looking for products that make it easier. But, I do try to keep up with that smell. You don't want your house smelling like puppies," said Krenn.
Krenn tested out the Ionic Pet Wash and the Pet Groom Pro both products that claim to clean and deodorize your pets as your brush.
We let Krenn use the brushes for two weeks.
The final verdict: "We like the brushes. They do a good job and maybe help with pet odor too," said Krenn.
Zanos says "If you don't want your house to stink, you'll probably still want to wash and wipe as well as brush and sniff... but we give it a thumbs up. It's a solid product and for twenty bucks it's a great brush with or without those millions of little cleansing ions."
