Behind-The-Scenes At 'The Young & The Restless'
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KDKA) ―
"The Young and The Restless" is the highest rated daytime drama on American television and its Pittsburgh following helps keep it popular.
For 35 years now, devoted fans have followed its characters.
Earlier this month, "The Young and The Restless" collected 17 Emmy nominations.
Recently, KDKA's Brenda Waters traveled to Los Angeles and ventured behind-the-scenes of the soap.
On her journey, she got in on the backstage action, tried her hand at playing an extra, talked with some of the actors, and got the scoop about their characters as well as what they are like both on and off the set.
First up, Brenda talked with Y&R's battling duo, Katherine Chancellor & Jill Abbott (Jeanne Cooper and Jess Walton).
Then, she landed herself a role as an extra in scenes at the Genoa City Athletic Club.
She also talked with a man playing an extra and also happens to be from Penn Hills.
