Lottery Adds New Game To Midday, Evening Drawings

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Pennsylvania Lottery players have a new way of winning.

A new game has been added to the midday and evening drawings.

Quinto is a numbers game that's similar to the Daily Number and Big Four and winners can pocket a top prize of up to $50,000.

Even though most people hadn't even heard of the game, Quinto tickets were selling well.

Quinto gives you several ways to win: five numbers in sequence, five numbers boxed and more.

"The beauty of this game is either you got the last two numbers, you got money," says Peter Bhatt, a lottery retailer, "or the first two numbers you got the money. First three you got the money - last three."

You get the idea. Quinto prizes range from $50 to $50,000.

But the addition of Quinto means the live lottery broadcast will have a new look.

In order to squeeze in the Quinto game during the 90-second drawing, they'll have to speed up the drawings. Numbers will now be drawn all at once instead of one at a time.

Watch the live lottery drawing everyday at 7 p.m. on KDKA-TV.
