Wilson Elementary Deals With Smelly Situation

FINDLAY TWP. (KDKA) ― An elementary school in the West Allegheny School District is dealing with a smelly situation.

The Imperial Landfill is the source of the smell and now parents of students at Wilson Elementary are concerned the gas could be dangerous.

The Allegheny County Health Department and the DEP have confirmed the air quality at the school doesn't pose an immediate health risk.

Both agencies say they will continue to test the air quality in the area.

The management at the landfill says they will continue work on the problem and will update the public through emails and monthly meetings.
