USC Teenager Pleads Guilty To Sexual Assault

UPPER ST. CLAIR (KDKA) ― An Upper St. Clair teenager accused of sexual assault is facing jail time.

Sources say the boy, who was a 14-year-old freshman at the time, pleaded guilty to sexual assault, but not rape.

He was originally charged with raping three females in a secluded stairwell at the high school between November and February.

The teenager was also charged with simple and aggravated assault and terroristic threats.

Juvenile law experts say it doesn't matter if it was rape or sexual assault. Because it's a juvenile case, the maximum penalty is four years incarceration.

The teenager's name has not been released. He's been turned over to his parents but is under electronic monitoring.

The family of one of the victims has also filed a lawsuit, claiming the district was aware of the sexual assaults but did not take appropriate action.

The teenager faces sentencing in December.
