Police Step Up Patrols Around City Schools

Police are stepping up their efforts to find a man who's been groping children as they walk to school in the city of Pittsburgh.

The latest incident happened yesterday morning near Colfax Elementary School in Squirrel Hill.

Police say a man approached two teenagers and inappropriately touched one of the girls.

The principal reportedly sent a letter home with students, assuring parents that they planned to increase police patrols around the school in the morning and afternoon dismissal.

As an added precaution, students are urged to walk in groups and avoid talking to strangers.

Officials are investigating similar incidents involving children near Minadeo Elementary School in Squirrel Hill and Grandview Elementary in the Allentown section of the city.
