Man Questioned Outside Colfax School, Released

Just one day after another student reported that a man groped her as she walked to school in Squirrel Hill, police stepped up patrols around the school and even took a man in for questioning this morning; but investigators are still looking for a suspect this afternoon.

According to police, a man approached two teenaged girls outside Colfax Elementary School on Monday morning and fondled one of the girls.

On the heels of yesterday's incident, detectives intensified their surveillance efforts as students walked to school this morning.

At one point, undercover detectives began talking with a man near Colfax School; but after talking him in for questioning, police later released him.

Officials are investigating similar incidents involving children near Minadeo Elementary School in Squirrel Hill and Grandview Elementary in the Allentown section of the city.

The suspect police are looking for in the Squirrel Hills incidents is described as a white man with short brown hair in his early to mid twenties, about 6-feet tall.

Investigators say the suspect wanted in connection with incidents at Grandview Elementary fits a similar description; but at this point, it's not clear if the same man is responsible.
