Students Return To Pitt Campus, Some Streets Close

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― It's that time of year again when thousands of college students return to our area to begin the new school year.

Students at the University of Pittsburgh are moving into their dorms starting this morning.

And because of that, several roads in Oakland will be closed to accommodate their return.

Bigelow Boulevard, Lothrop Street and University Place will be shut until 7 p.m.

Pitt students aren't the only ones going back to school this week.

Carlow and Duquesne University students return today, as well.

Duquesne students are being asked to arrive at staggered times according to their zip codes to alleviate any headaches and traffic jams.

Carnegie Mellon students returned over the weekend.
