(KDKA) Another local school district has now reported its first case of the H1N1 flu for the school year.

According to officials with the North Hills School District, a student at McIntyre Elementary School is being treated for the virus.

They say there are other students throughout the district who are also experiencing flu-like symptoms, but only the McIntyre student has been confirmed as having H1N1.

Meanwhile, district officials say they are closely monitoring attendance rates throughout all their schools.

Also, the nursing staff has been working with all the students to teach hand-washing hygiene.

Other school districts reporting cases in recent weeks include Mount Lebanon, Seneca Valley, Ringgold, Quaker Valley, Gateway and Woodland Hills.
