Duquesne University President To Stay Through 2016

PITTSBURGH (AP) ― The board of directors of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh is extending their president's contract through 2016.

The board's vote on Friday to extend Charles Dougherty's contract was unanimous.

The university says it is pleased with the direction Dougherty has lead the school, including improving its rankings and instituting a more selective admissions process.

Dougherty has been president of the university since 2001.
