Teen Arrested For Fire At CAPA School

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Pittsburgh police have arrested a 15-year-old girl in connection with a fire at CAPA School downtown.

The teenager is now facing five felony counts including arson, risking a catastrophe and institutional vandalism.

Police say surveillance video shows students setting a theater costume on fire inside the high school on Monday.

As many as 600 students were evacuated because of the fire.

The teenage suspect will be taken to Shuman Juvenile Detention Center.

The fire caused a least $20,000 in damage.
