Car Companies Now Targeting Younger Drivers
by Yvonne Zanos
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
Car companies are now competing for young first-time buyer by offering cars they can afford.
They figure if you want a loyal customer, get them while they are young.
The cars come with features to appeal to the Generation Y crowd.
"We have the new fold down speakers with woofers and everything," said Joe Ramsey of Dodge.
Chances are you'll need an I-Pod holder that hooks up to your radio.
If you are in the mood for a cold drink, your chilled glove compartment will store up to four bottles.
Several car companies are offering these types of cars including the Chevy HHR and Toyota Scion XB.
These cars start at $13,000 fully loaded.
They even come with navigation systems for under $20,000.
It's not only a good deal for kids, it's also an opportunity for the rest of us to get a lot more for less.
