Bunk Beds, Hammocks Among Latest Recalls

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling several household items that could pose a danger to your family.

Big Lots is recalling 20,000 bunk beds which sold at their stores from May of last year until February for about $300. The bunk bed's mattress support slats and side support railings can break, posing a risk of the bunk bed collapsing.

The recall includes beds with a three-step ladder with model numbers WP-9108-1 and WP-9108-2. You should stop using the beds and contact Big Lots to return the defective parts and get a free repair kit.

Clarks is recalling five models of its children's shoes sold under the "crawlers" and "Hazy Daze" style names, which sold at Clarks Stores from February through July of this year for between $35 and $40.

The shoes have molded rubber pieces on the soles and these pieces can come off, posing a choking hazard to babies and young children. You should stop using the shoes and return them to the store for a full refund.

Travel Hammock Inc. is recalling thousands of grand trunk single and double parachute hammocks which sold at specialty outdoor retails from July of last year through June between $50 and $60.

The hammock's supporting hooks can fail, causing people in the hammock to fall to the ground . You should stop using the hammock and contact the firm for a free repair kit.
