Recalls Issued For Booster Seats, Stair Gates

(KDKA) There are some new product recalls that experts are advising the public about.

Target is recalling children's booster seats made by Circo.

Officials say the restraint buckle can open unexpectedly allowing a child to fall from the chair and be injured.

The recall involves Circo booster seats with the manufacture date codes:
  • XJ0811
  • XJ0812
  • XJ0901
  • XJ0902

The seats were sold from December 2008 through June 2009 for about $13.

If you have one of these seats, officials say return it to your local Target store.

A brand of stair gates is also being recalled because the hinges that hold the gate in place can break.

The recall involves the Safety 1st SmartLight stair gate with the model number of 42111.

The gates were sold between January 2005 and July 2009 at Babies 'R Us, Toys 'R Us and Wal-Mart.com.

Black & Decker is recalling a popular weed eater.

The electric-powered Grasshog XP is being recalled because certain parts can come loose during use. It can also overheat.

The trimmers have date codes 200546 through 200645 and were sold from November 2005 through January 2007.
