New Recalled Products Include Toys & Pens

(KDKA) There are some new recalls today for products you may have right in your home.

First up is the Imaginarium Multi-Sided Activity Center and Jungle Activity Center for toddlers or pre-schoolers.

These toys are sold at Toys 'R Us for between $20 and $50 from last summer through March.

Experts say the toys have small parts that can come off, which poses a choking hazard to young children.

Officials say you can return it to the nearest Toys 'R Us store for a full refund.

Another hazard for children are the 300,000 plush insect toys, which sold at Dollar Tree stores between March and December of last year for $1.

They came in six designs: a lady bug, bumble bee, caterpillar, snail and two butterflies. Experts say these toys also have small parts, which can posing a choking hazard.

You can return them to your nearest Dollar Tree for a refund.

Also, Michael's Craft Stores says they are recalling 310,000 seasonal writing pens, which sold in their stores from last August until this month for about a dollar. There's a flower writer pen, and Christmas, Easter and Halloween versions.

Experts say the pens' surface coating contains high levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

Officials say stop using the pens and return them to your nearest Michael's for a full refund.
