Company Recalls Millions Of Insulin Syringes
(KDKA/AP)
Millions of insulin syringes are being recalled in a major alert for diabetics.
Qualitest Pharmaceuticals is recalling about 250 million Accusure insulin syringes.
The syringes have been distributed nationwide since January 2002.
According to officials, the company has received four complaints related to the needle detaching from the syringe.
If it becomes detached, the needle can get stuck in the insulin vial, push back into the syringe or remain in a person's skin.
There have been no reports of injuries.
Anyone who has these syringes is being asked to stop using them.
