CPSC Issues Recalls On Office Chairs, Bikes, Lamps

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced several recalls Tuesday for items ranging from office chairs to table lamps.

Raynor "Quantum" Office Chair- http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml10/10013.html

There are 150,000 office chairs being recalled by Raynor Marketing today. The model being recalled is the "Quantum." The office chairs were sold exclusively at Office Depot stores and at the Office Depot Website from May of 2006 through August of 2009 for between $300 and $350.

The bolts attaching the seatback on the chairs can loosen and come off, causing consumers to fall. You should stop using the chairs and contact the company for a free repair kit.

Electra Bicycles - http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml10/10011.html

Also being recalled, are dangerous bicycles. The 2009 model Electra Bicycles with front trays or baskets were sold at Electra Bike dealers nationwide from October of 2007 through August of 2009 for $600 to $750 dollars.

The problem is that the tray or basket can come loose and come in contact with the front tire, which could cause riders to crash. You should stop riding the bike and contact one of the three local Electra dealers for a free inspection and repair, or a refund.

Wincraft Team Lamps - http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml10/10703.html

Finally, Wincraft Inc. is recalling its rotating sports table lamps featuring team logos from the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NCAA and NASCAR.

These lamps sold in sports memorabilia and specialty stores this past August for about $40. The lamps have an electrical problem that could cause a fire, or burn and shock consumers. You should immediately unplug the lamp and contact Wincraft to get a free replacement lamp.
