LawnBott Recalled Over Safety Hazard

(KDKA) The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled a popular high-tech lawn mower because of a dangerous safety hazard.

Consumer Reports says they discovered the problem when they tested the "LawnBott" robotic mower.

Experts say they found you can lift the mower to almost a 45 degree angle before the blade stops spinning, allowing room for your hand or foot to be hit by the blade.

"When you lift this up, the blade keeps spinning," says Peter Sawchuk, of Consumer Reports. "You can easily reach in and get a nasty injury. If you lift it up further, the blade will stop, but it takes several seconds."

You should stop using the "LawnBott" and contact Kyodo America to register for a repair, which will be completed by the end of June.
