McCain, Palin Make Stop At Pittsburgh Diner

This afternoon, Sen. McCain & Gov. Palin will hold a rally at Consol Energy Park in Washington County

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Final preparations are underway today in Washington County where Sen. John McCain and his running mate Gov. Sarah Palin will hold a rally later this afternoon.

The Republican presumptive Presidential nominee and the Vice Presidential candidate will appear at Consol Energy Park.

The event kicked off at 3 p.m. While all the tickets for the event have been given out, organizers say those without tickets could still get into the event, but they have to bring photo ID with them to the gates.

Country singer, John Rich, of "Big and Rich," is also set to appear at the rally.

McCain and Palin's visit comes on the heels of Democratic Presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama and Vice-Presidential nominee Sen. Joe Biden's visit in Beaver County on Friday.

Before McCain and Palin's rally this afternoon, they made an unscheduled stop in Pittsburgh this morning.

The Arizona Senator and Alaska Governor visited Tom's Diner on the South Side, greeting some Pittsburghers who were eating their breakfast.

Stay with KDKA for much more on their rally.
