Seven Jurors Seated In Sen. Regola Trial

GREENSBURG (KDKA) ― Jury selection started in the trial of a local lawmaker accused of perjury and not properly storing a handgun that wound up in the hands of a 14-year-old neighbor who shot himself.

The Westmoreland County Coroner ruled that Louis Farrell, 14, committed suicide in July 2006.

State Senator Robert Regola III is accused of not properly storing the gun and allowing his teenage son, Bobby Regola IV, to have possession of it.

Today, seven jurors were seated. Court resumes at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
