New Elephant Calf Makes Zoo Debut

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Just days after being born at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, a baby elephant made her debut before adoring crowds.

An African elephant gave birth to a female calf Wednesday afternoon. She was the first elephant born at the zoo since the year 2000.

Moja, another elephant at the zoo, is expecting any day. Both elephants mated with the zoo's bull elephant, Jackson.
