Two Elephants Expecting At Pittsburgh Zoo

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― There's a big announcement from the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium.

Nan and Moja, two the zoo's elephants, are pregnant.

Officials say Jackson, the zoo's bull elephant, is the proud father of both babies.

Elephants carry their fetuses for 20 to 22 months.

So the babies aren't expected to be born until May or June of 2008.

The zoo plans to provide more details on the expectant elephants next week.
