Police are searching for suspects after they say two puppies were stolen from a humane society facility in Fayette County.
Officials say the break-in occurred this weekend between Saturday night and Sunday morning at the shelter in Uniontown.
Two 9-week-old Boxer-Pit Bull mix puppies were taken, authorities say.
Investigators say a basement window was broken, glass to a front counter window was punched out and another glass door was broken.
"There's blood splatters all up the steps," said Theresa Linden, of the Fayette County Humane Society. "The front window was punched in, there's blood there. The officers took DNA from the blood samples. I hope whoever did this is caught."
Police say three bags of dog food were also taken.
