Lost Dog Finds Way Home To South Fayette
SOUTH FAYETTE (KDKA) ―
After missing for more than a month, a little, local pup has returned home, much to the relief of his owners.
Gail Homer, of South Fayette, says Benny was missing for more thanĀ five weeks.
"March 15th he got out of the gate and took off," said Homer. "We couldn't catch him. He disappeared, like he vanished into thin air."
Homer says she and her daughter asked for help from friends, put up posters and notified police and local vets. Some people even started following Benny's story online.
Then, on Sunday, a neighbor found Benny lying in a puddle.
"He couldn't stand up; he was so weak," said Homer. "He lost about 13 pounds."
While Benny's owners say they are happy to have their dog back they only wish he could talk and tell them where he was.
