Dog Injured By Porcupine Finds New Home

WEST DEER (KDKA) ― A dog that had a run-in with a porcupine has found a new home.

Blossom, a 6-year-old rotweiller, has been adopted by Lexy Trunzo.

A few weeks ago, Blossom was found in a ditch and had quills all over her body. She was frail and could only walk on three legs because of her injuries.

With help from donations, the West Deer Dog Shelter took her in and nursed her back to health.

Experts say if your dog gets "quilled" by a porcupine, contact a vet immediately so they can remove them.
