Animal Cruelty Charges Filed Against Local Couple

UNIONTOWN (KDKA) ― Charges have been filed against a local couple after humane agents found dozens of dead and neglected animals in their home.

Agents found dead turtles, chinchillas and nearly a dozen dogs at a home in Uniontown.

Martin Betchy and Heidi Kerin are facing more than 100 citations.

Court documents say they did not dispose of animal remains, failed to vaccinate against rabies and violated a city ordinance that limits the number of pets per household.
